R.E.M. was one of the bands I listened to growing up. I always enjoyed this song, but I never thought it could (or should be) hard rock. The more I listened to it recently, though, I kept hearing more of a bite to it, so I finally broke down and gave it a shot. I thought it worked out just great! Hopefully it works out for you too!

I wrote this song the day I got laid off from my job a week ago yesterday. They just didnt have enough work for me, so they couldnt keep me on. If youve ever had a life-jolt, you know what it feels like, and it doesnt feel good.
For me, the choice is always the same. Do I continue on in faith, or do I retreat into solitude and sulk in self-pity?
