Two covers in two days!
I've wanted to do a Kalafina cover for quite a while now, ever since they came out with "To the Beginning" for Fate Zero. Unfortunately, it seems that Kalafina songs always have really unforgiving copyright rules. Hopefully this one doesn't get blocked :(
You probably know this one better as Mami's Battle Theme or Credens Justitiam. But this version, heard in the first remake movie, is definitely my favourite, with the warmth of the velvety strings and the beautiful bridge section ;A;
Dem Kalafina harmonies™ and countermelodies...holy hell O_O One of the many reasons why this transcription was really fun to do!
Although the individual parts aren't hard, the difficulty in this one lies with the blending of the parts, as well as the chord tuning (especially with all the suspension). There's also the mixing of 3 or 4-part harmonies orz
In the end though, I rather like how this one sounds!

Thats just me blowing off some prom anxiety (so I guess in a way this song is appropriate) :S
Well, this was a fun cover, because its always cool going into extreme registers and adding glisses (and of course, songs by Ryo are always awesome). This actually took two takes cause I squeaked massively towards the end the first time. Thank goodness VideoPad editor is so versatile. Dunno why the hell theres those annoyings lines. At any rate, enjoy =)

Very simple yet beautiful song, and I think its just the type that matches well with the clarinets warm and relatively dark tone.
