Headphones and 720p for the best sound!
Since my last 2 covers were both high-speed rockers, I thought that a mellow, lyrical piece like this would make for a nice change of pace :)
I'd only recently discovered this song, but it's definitely one of my favourites from 40m-P, right up there with the likes of Time Machine. I don't think I can emphasize enough just how good this guy is at crafting utterly infectious melodies (as well as cute metaphors)! XD
I always enjoy doing acoustic covers, and since this is one of those rare cases where an acoustic arrangement is far better than the original, there was no question about which off-vocal to use. While I was a bit sad that I couldn't find the arrangement used by Nobunaga in her amazing cover (as that was what inspired me to do this in the first place), I managed to warm up to SABO's equally fantastic arrangement.
Recording actually went very smoothly this time, and I finished it in less than an hour! There's still a couple of mistakes (including a minor squeak on a high F#, and some other pretty shrill high notes), but I'd rather live with them than put up with my rage-inducing camera. On the bright side, I think this is the best tone I've ever produced for a Vocaloid cover ^_^
Also figured out how to pan in Adobe Premiere! XD And as I start to get a better grasp of video editing, I'm beginning to understand just how bloody hard it is. Can't even begin to imagine how difficult an animator's life must be... orz

Sung by LiSA / Karuta
From the anime Angel Beats
Original composition by Jun Maeda
As promised Tom, here it is!
Very simple yet beautiful song, and I think its just the type that matches well with the clarinets warm and relatively dark tone.
A big thank you to all my subscribers, for hitting 50 subs! Cheers, and thanks for all the kind words and support :D. Thats MY most precious treasure alright :P
Hope you enjoy ^ ^
I own only my playing! Thanks very much to leon100243 for the Karuta ver. instrumental, which can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeFsAPFD7v8&feature=player_embedded [Angel Beats] - Ichiban no Takaramono / 一番の宝物 (clarinet cover) 【吹いてみた】](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/quKCc41YHds/mqdefault.jpg)

![[VOCALOID] - Magnet (flute and clarinet cover)
My second time covering this song, and this time done with flute and clarinet! The flute playing is courtesy of the very multi-talented Grise (http://www.youtube.com/user/GriseLovesRoses) go sub her right now!
Again with the second takes...Personally Im in favour of a drier reverb, so the echoing in this one is turned way down. This time tuning issues are less noticeable and the rhythm is more consistent, though not nearly perfect. But thats what makes this song so tricky the incredibly hard syncopation. Ah well, close enough ^ ^
