MacLennan Park is a 244 acre park located in Topeka, KS. Located next to Kaw River State Park, the park offers a several trails that lead you through wooded and prairie areas. There is some lovely scenery of the architecture of Topeka, as well. You can view the governors mansion on the north side of the park, or the abandoned Menninger Clinic building, which we came across. We thought that the clinic might be good location for our friends at Our Haunted Travels-PANICd to investigate. It certainly looks like it could be haunted.
Spring is a very colorful time in Kansas and MacLennan Park is a perfect place to view all the colors of the season. This made it an ideal spot to try out Christina's Mothers Day gift. Her brand new Enchroma glasses! Most of you all don't know that Christina is colorblind, as are James and William. The Enchroma glasses help to correct her colorblindness. She's learned to live with it obviously, but the kids and I wanted to give her what she's been missing. MacLennan Park did not let us disappoint!
