I bought this LC 475 on eBay (the place where I buy the things I later regret™) because it had an auto-inject floppy drive - a rare find on an LC 475. But what I didn't notice is way cooler: The model number on the case top is a sticker. This means one thing...

This is likely an LC II that had a dealer-installed LC 475 upgrade performed!

Sure, someone could have acquired the parts later and done it, but that doesn't change the fact that it is clearly an upgrade kit from Apple, as the case bottom also has a new sticker applied over the old one. (If this had been an upgrade kit from MicroMac, I don't think it would have included the new case stickers.)

Dealer upgrade or not, the fact still stands: LC logic boards and power supplies need recapped. So let's do it.

Will the recap go smoothly? Will I remember the caveats with the LC 475? Will it chime? You'll have to watch to find out!
