The referendum process surrounding Luzerne County’s Anti-Discrimination Ordinance is moving forward after a repeal committee collected more than enough signatures to challenge the measure.

The ordinance, approved by County Council in a 7-4 vote on June 9, quickly drew opposition from residents who called it government overreach and said it duplicated existing state and federal protections.
