The bomb cyclone hitting Michigan Monday, Dec. 29, put on a show at the Ludington shoreline. The storm brought 17 foot waves, 28 mph northwesterly winds, gusting to 45 mph, causing waves to easily crash over the 57-foot-tall North Ludington Breakwater Lighthouse. The storm also has brought lake effect snow with drifting and white-out conditions. Several utility lines are down through Mason County. Winds and waves are expected to continue but slightly subside this evening with another inch of snow expected Tuesday. Winds Tuesday are forecasted at west-northwest, 15 to 25 mph.
