"Low Rider" (War) - Trumpet Cover with Improvised Outro (David Miller, trumpet)

Here is my cover version of this really cool & funky, low ridin' tune, "Low Rider" by War! The song dates to 1975 and I can vividly remember hearing it all the time back then. I was 12 years old at the time, and I had recently moved to Texas from California. California- where I used to see low riders on the street all the time. Anyway, I really liked the song then, and I still like it, so I thought I'd do a cover of it. I hope you enjoy it.
Oh, I should add... this tune is also used as the theme song to the George Lopez Show.

Funny how things work out sometimes. You spend two hours in the studio tracking parts but end up working an additional nine and a half hours mixing and remixing. The good thing is I don't think there is a single time I'm recording or learning a new tune that I don't learn something very useful in the process. It's always a learning experience!
