Call of Cthulhu is a 2018 survival horror game developed by Cyanide Studios for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. It is based on the 1970s tabletop RPG of the same name which itself is based on HP Lovecraft's novella, The Call of Cthulhu.

My channel focusses a lot on Lovecraftian games - and this one certainly has the highest of expectations put on it. I mean, it is literally named after one of Lovecraft's most well known stories and doesn't exactly shy away from that in its marketing or narrative. Though it also takes inspiration from The Shadow Over Innsmouth and other genres such as crime/film noir.

Set in post-WW1 Massachusetts, Edward Pierce is tasked with finding out what happened to the recently deceased artist known as Sarah Hawkins. It gets spooky.
