If your car sits too low and the front bumper or air dam hits the ramps before the tires start climbing, this quick tip is for you. By placing a short piece of 2x10 lumber in front of the ramps, you can gain just enough clearance to safely drive onto the ramps without pushing them or scraping the front of your vehicle.

In this video, I show the simple setup I use to make car ramps work on low-clearance vehicles. It’s inexpensive, easy, and can save you from damaging your front bumper.

✅ Prevent bumper contact
✅ Gain extra clearance
✅ Keep ramps from sliding or being pushed forward
✅ Fast and inexpensive solution
