This lovely Shep Pettibone remix was used for the U.S. 12" single and later appeared on the Disco remix album. The single did not make the U.S. Top 40 chart, but the 12" remix made the Top 10 in club play.

This parody of Bruce Springsteens Born In The U.S.A. came out in 1985 and was based on a real news story according to Cheech Marin. It also references the Randy Newman song I Love L.A. with shoutouts to Soto Street and Brooklyn Avenue which run through East Los Angeles. Brooklyn Avenue was renamed Cedar Chavez Avenue in 1994. There were no remixes or extended versions so this promo 12 single has the LP version.
