This parody of Bruce Springsteen's "Born In The U.S.A." came out in 1985 and was based on a real news story according to Cheech Marin. It also references the Randy Newman song "I Love L.A." with shoutouts to Soto Street and Brooklyn Avenue which run through East Los Angeles. Brooklyn Avenue was renamed Cedar Chavez Avenue in 1994. There were no remixes or extended versions so this promo 12" single has the LP version.

(Lady Of The Night (1974) was her debut album but it wasnt released in the U.S.) This recording is taken from a vintage 1970s repress of the LP.
