How does the Classic compare to the Solo model? 🎵🤔🎺
In a nutshell, the Classic is the brightest and most traditional sounding instrument we make. The moderate bell taper makes it very easy to play. The one-piece yellow brass bell rings with warmth when you play softly and is quick to brighten up when you step on the gas.
If you want the best “normal trumpet” you can get - the Classic might very well be for you.
The Solo model is a bigger, warming sounding trumpet overall, thanks to the more open bell flare and the combination of a copper stem with a phosphor bronze flare. However, you can still access plenty of brightness in the sound when you step on the gas.
One thing that makes the Solo model so special is that it projects such a big sound while offering large and stable note targets, even in the upper register. The narrow bell stem shape is part of the equation that creates this stability.
