Goofy moments like this by the bots are somewhat a rarity. Once in a while a gate bot just decides that capping the gates isnt their priority and they just wander off to the hatch.

Since they are still alive (the wave bar shows that singular Soldierbot too) nothing else will spawn in unless he dies.
I've seen it a few times before and people were about to restart entire missions over this as well cause they didnt know what was going on.
