Although they’ve always proudly flown the Egg-Punk flag, Los Darks have never been afraid to pull in sounds from elsewhere. That constant detour into other territories is a big part of what makes this Mexico City crew such an interesting proposition, and their latest video for “Drogas En La Rave” is another great example. Taken from their latest EP, “Todo Lo Que Vemos Y Escuchamos Nos Parecen Cosas Muy Extrañas,” the track rides a relentless motorik beat, pushing into Darkwave and Krautrock territory while keeping their addictive and seriously danceable character, while they’re putting the finishing touches to what will be their fourth EP,.

“The video was shot at one of the band members’ homes. It’s actually the cave where all the ideas come from. We filmed everything ourselves. The band is completely independent, and all the means and resources we use are up to us, whether it’s for recording music or making videos.”
