Demonstration of an arm with up to 4-meter reach for visual inspection of confined spaces. The arm consists of 2 X-Series Actuators (X8-16) with additional gear reductions using chain drives. The arm weighs 10kg and draws less than 50W of power when in use.
The demonstration here uses two additional actuators to form a pan-tilt camera. The arm has 2.5 kg of payload at full reach and can be mechanically integrated with other pan-tilt camera systems for inspection.
