## LONG HORIZON DRIVE
**Shavon Bonnie Legion × Makis Gibs**
*Electric Guitar Improvisation → Original Song*
Some songs are written.
Others are found somewhere along the road.
**Long Horizon Drive** began with an electric guitar improvisation by Makis Gibs. I have always loved the worlds Makis creates in his longer improvisations they feel less like pieces of music to me and more like places. There is movement in them. Characters. Landscapes. Something happening just beyond what you can see.
This particular improvisation immediately pulled me into the world Makis had imagined around it: a rain-soaked road stretching beyond the city, neon reflected across the pavement, a vehicle moving toward an uncertain horizon, and that strange feeling of leaving one version of yourself behind without knowing exactly what waits ahead.
That became the foundation for the lyrics I wrote for **Long Horizon Drive**.
But this one fought me.
I knew what I wanted emotionally, and I wanted the vocal to move dynamically through the guitar rather than simply sit on top of it. I spent days chasing it different notes, different keys, layers of backing vocals, too much movement, not enough control. Eventually I got so deep inside the recording that I couldn't hear the song clearly anymore.
I almost threw the track away.
Instead, I sent it to Makis. He sent me back a fuller mix of the guitars to build from. I went back in and completely re did the vocals. With Brian helping me work through the mix, suddenly the thing I had been trying to hear finally started revealing itself. And maybe that's part of what this song was supposed to be.
Sometimes the road doesn't become clear because you've figured everything out.
Sometimes you just keep driving.
You leave behind the noise, the identities, the expectations, the versions of yourself that no longer fit and somewhere between where you were and wherever you're going, you discover that **not knowing is not the same thing as being lost.**
That's the Bridgewalker space for me.
The place between worlds.
Between certainty and possibility.
Between who we were and who we're becoming.
Between the city behind us and the horizon ahead.
For the video, I wanted to physically enter the world that Makis first created through his guitar and story — the wet pavement, neon rain, industrial city, the car, the endless road and that distant horizon. The visuals became another layer of the collaboration: his imagined world, my interpretation of it, and the song that somehow appeared between us.
Huge love and gratitude to **Makis Gibs** for the original improvisation, the incredible guitar work, the world behind it, and especially for helping me get this one across the finish line when I was ready to walk away from it.
And thank you to **Brian Grass** for sitting beside me through the vocal and mixing process, helping me hear what I could no longer hear after being buried inside the track for days.
Sometimes collaboration isn't about everyone arriving with the finished answer.
Sometimes one person builds a road.
Another hears a story traveling down it.
And somebody else helps you find your way when you lose the horizon.

✨ Take Me With You — Bonnie Legion
A Sound Legion Production
Acoustic | Singer-Songwriter | Raw | Poetic Protest | Cosmic Folk
“Take Me With You” is a raw acoustic track that poured straight from my spirit during a time of deep disillusionment and awakening. It’s just me, my voice, my guitar—and the weight of everything I was feeling about the world. Produced under the Sound Legion name, this piece strips everything back to the bones. No polish. No production tricks. Just truth.
I wrote this song from the aching place between chaos and clarity—a world full of opinions, conspiracy, injustice, and spiritual longing. It’s a cry for connection in a time of mass division. A question to the sky when no human answers will do. A protest against the noise, and a whisper to something greater—“Take me with you.”
The lyrics move through absurdity and satire—Bigfoot in the hills, aliens on the moon, Marilyn in the mirror—because that’s what reality feels like now: surreal. But through all of that, theres this aching, grounded voice of someone just begging for truth, for peace, for meaning. I am that beggar in a poor land, holding up a cardboard sign to the cosmos.
As Bonnie Legion, my heart beats to build bridges—between people, between ideas, between the Earth and the stars. This song is one of those bridges. It’s for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the noise, but still hopes. It’s for those who see through the illusion but haven’t given up on love. On unity. On truth.
The accompanying video is a visual poem, illustrated scene by scene, following our rainbow-haired girl—my symbolic self—as she bears witness to a crumbling world while still reaching upward with open hands and an unshaken heart.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for feeling.
— Bonnie Legion
🎵 Lyrics: Take Me With You
[Verse 1]
Its all in the paper, its all in the news
All these opinions and all of these truths
Buzz in the court room, the church is on fire
The masses under ashes for the fear they acquire
The aliens have landed, theres a base on the moon
The Trump man is president, its all over soon
Bigfoot is watching, he is up in them hills
And they murdered Marilyn with all of them pills
[Chorus]
Hell is not a real place
That I decide
And if the monsters are coming
Then how can we hide
Oh Im a beggar in a poor land
Starving for truth, holding a sign for the aliens
Up on my roof
Take me with you... oh oh
[Verse 2]
Everyone is talking, the gossip’s on wild
Perfect to reject when the profits are mind
Money is godless unless youre in need
A penny for a poor man to help him believe
The pyramids a gateway built by the Gods
Salvation a construct for all of these laws
California fires cause they need the land
And Trump man is laughing while hes making them stand
[Chorus]
Hell is not a real place
That I decide
And if the monsters are coming
Then how can we hide
Oh Im a beggar in a poor land
Starving for truth, holding a sign for the aliens
Up on my roof
Take me with you... oh oh

Lyrics to Wheel Inside by Shavon
[Verse 1]
Harness your spirit, don’t hold it tight Step through the dark without needing light Close your eyes, feel what’s underneath There’s something alive in the space you keep Pull in the air like it’s something new Let all the noise fall out of you There’s a current beneath your skin If you go quiet, it pulls you in [Pre-Chorus]
Everything turning, the wheel inside Threads of your story start to unwind Something is calling you past the frame You won’t come back quite the same
[Chorus]
Walk with me where the edge dissolves Where nothing you were can stay involved Step by step, let the old you fall You were never meant to carry it all
[Verse 2]
Barefoot moving on sacred ground Drop what you thought made you safe and sound Names and faces, the roles you play Fade like echoes you can’t replay There’s a rise ahead you have to climb Not in distance, but out of time Something waits where the air gets thin But you don’t arrive as who you’ve been
[Pre-Chorus]
Feel it pulling beneath your chest Breaking apart what you thought was best Every layer begins to release Not destruction—this is peace
[Chorus]
Walk with me where the edge dissolves Where nothing you were can stay involved Step by step, let the old you fall You were never meant to carry it all
