Cars such as the Outlander PHEV or the Nissan Leaf have type 1 connectors that do not lock the cable when charging.
This means there is always the small risk that it could be stolen. To prevent this, it's easy to add a small lock which will mean the plug cannot easily be disconnected anymore. Enough for casual risk prevention.
