Talk Title: Living in Fictional Worlds: Acting, Imaginative Play, and Simming
Talk Summary: Actors convey stories, like words and drawings, but they also inhabit those stories. This talk draws on the philosophy of mind and art to explore the way that in theatre, narrative provides a context for real action and lived experience, and in so doing functions as a laboratory to explore human behavior, ethics, and the construction of identity.
