In this livestream, we started by showcasing a new humanoid robot character, the "Polybot," and broke down the complex shader nodes used to create its circuit board texture. The main focus was a step-by-step tutorial on how to create the robot's dynamic visor, which uses a Voronoi texture to transition from a perfect grid to a more organic, "thinking" pattern. We then applied this procedural shader to a volumetric light in Cycles to create a stunning "shockwave" animation. While the final scene was rendering, we played a couple of indie games, "Ultimate Free Riding" and "Townscaper." To finish, we imported the rendered footage into DaVinci Resolve and demonstrated how to effectively upscale it using the Super Scale feature.
