Since the last attempt at a stream went far better than I ever expected, let's do another one. Like last time, starting with a general hang out as a place to answer questions about anything you want to know about me and my work, maybe even a few voice requests here and there. Then, we'll be going behind the scenes again where I'll be showing how I produced the music for the recent 'Valentino' cover, including how I recorded/structured the voices.

This one was initially an experiment into trying out new radio effects using another old time song that fit Alastors aesthetic and the popular idea that he speaks French. But as the original version of La Vie en rose is one of my favourite pieces of music, I decided to do the full thing justice. Even with the difficulties of singing in French since it isnt a language I speak, it was quite the fun challenge. I chose to base the actual performance as close as I could to Édith Piafs original vocals and pronunciation, so I hope I did alright!
Sing2Pianos instrumental served as a perfect choice, with the real time recorded performance sounding more genuine than how I could arrange it using my own software. To balance out using another instrumental apart from my own this time, I made sure to add as much detail to the setup of the scene as I could, similar to the cover of Well Meet Again. The image of Alastors powers manifesting as he played, only to be briefly interrupted by someone hearing the song and entering to hear him. Who that person is is up to you.

My first serious attempt at sound design on such a large scale. While Im not too happy at certain parts of this looking back on it, it was a good learning experience and I think Ive managed to get better with my voices and acting as time has gone on.

A full cover version of Show & Tell in character as Angel Dust, featuring originally created backing instrumentation and sound design.
This is one that quite a few of my viewers have been asking for for some time and I agree that its a track that fits Angel as a character nearly perfectly. The instrumental was incredibly difficult to recreate as the original had lots of different effects and attention to small details, but Im very proud of how it came out. The vocals themselves were equally complex to do because of how many parts there were to consider.
As with past covers like Well Meet Again, the sound design in the introduction was an attempt to better match Angel with how Melanie Martinez originally performed the song. The intent was to make it sound like hes putting on an innocent tone in how he says some of the lines, with the song being an internal monologue that hes thinking about when hes been forced to go on stage.

The aim with this one was to imply this is something that happened before the pilot episode, maybe one of the reasons why Charlie believes herself to be a failure. Lucifers definitely one of the most intriguing characters to me given his potential to influence events in the show, so it was a fun project.
Because he and Lilith could be considered beyond what some could consider normal demons, I wanted to give their voices that sort of ethereal treatment while maintaining accents that matched their position of royalty. Plus, hes fun to voice. Hell make some more appearances down the line.
