A brand new original song based around Jax, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, visuals and artwork.
As we edge ever closer to the ultimate resolution of the wacky ride that The Amazing Digital Circus has been for the last few years, I was inspired by the events of the last few episodes to delve into something that was simultaneously intriguing for its grey areas but also the potential for soundscapes to highlight it.
It's no secret that Jax's actions and behaviours have been messy and complicated among the cast, and the show's decision to show his denial of the situation and selfish feelings on the matter have helped to explain such behaviours without excusing him for doing them. Indeed, the aim of the song was to do much the same, to delve into Jax's psyche being presented with the possibility of real implications both inside and outside the Circus than he doesn't want to admit while simultaneously keeping him firmly self-centred on how he feels at the expense of everybody else around him.
To that end, the track is heavily inspired by the futuristic styles of bass music, with a heavy focus on melodic elements and strong chords paired with powerful bass tones and glitchy aesthetics that match both Jax's mind and the Circus itself, along with "hidden" references in cut up vocal samples that may or may not belong to people he once knew... To compliment it all, it was an honour to work with Joshua, who brought the exact right tone and performance and it shows amazingly in his performance. His skills as an accomplished voice actor across many different worlds of animation and gaming, as well as his singing, helped to bring Jax to life perfectly to fit the intention of the song exploring his insistent denial of the truth.
And such a special song is also helped by incredible visual fidelity thanks to the efforts of Cycoriot and MrDemo once again coming to help. With amazing visual assets that reference and stick to the aesthetic of TADC with a unique flair combining with amazing 3D animation work, the end product has become something I'm extremely proud of to see come to fruition.
Thanks for continuing to be patient with the gaps between releases, and make sure you give everybody below as much love and praise as you can for their incredible contributions. I literally could not have done it without them.

This one was initially an experiment into trying out new radio effects using another old time song that fit Alastors aesthetic and the popular idea that he speaks French. But as the original version of La Vie en rose is one of my favourite pieces of music, I decided to do the full thing justice. Even with the difficulties of singing in French since it isnt a language I speak, it was quite the fun challenge. I chose to base the actual performance as close as I could to Édith Piafs original vocals and pronunciation, so I hope I did alright!
Sing2Pianos instrumental served as a perfect choice, with the real time recorded performance sounding more genuine than how I could arrange it using my own software. To balance out using another instrumental apart from my own this time, I made sure to add as much detail to the setup of the scene as I could, similar to the cover of Well Meet Again. The image of Alastors powers manifesting as he played, only to be briefly interrupted by someone hearing the song and entering to hear him. Who that person is is up to you.

A full cover version of Show & Tell in character as Angel Dust, featuring originally created backing instrumentation and sound design.
This is one that quite a few of my viewers have been asking for for some time and I agree that its a track that fits Angel as a character nearly perfectly. The instrumental was incredibly difficult to recreate as the original had lots of different effects and attention to small details, but Im very proud of how it came out. The vocals themselves were equally complex to do because of how many parts there were to consider.
As with past covers like Well Meet Again, the sound design in the introduction was an attempt to better match Angel with how Melanie Martinez originally performed the song. The intent was to make it sound like hes putting on an innocent tone in how he says some of the lines, with the song being an internal monologue that hes thinking about when hes been forced to go on stage.

The aim with this one was to imply this is something that happened before the pilot episode, maybe one of the reasons why Charlie believes herself to be a failure. Lucifers definitely one of the most intriguing characters to me given his potential to influence events in the show, so it was a fun project.
Because he and Lilith could be considered beyond what some could consider normal demons, I wanted to give their voices that sort of ethereal treatment while maintaining accents that matched their position of royalty. Plus, hes fun to voice. Hell make some more appearances down the line.
