This set was played at around 9PM at a good friend’s 40th birthday bash. It was a party full of talent, there were four live sets on that day, and a bazillion excellent DJ sets.
Since the Syntakt can now play samples, I thought it be fun to see what I can do with an Amen break. My set followed a gabba set and I felt it appropriate to play really quite hard and fast (for my standards), with little sonic space left anywhere. I started at 147BPM, briefly went down for some 130 chugging, then up to 155 and back down to 147.
