Hardware failureā¦
So, my Allen and Heath Zed-6 gave up the spirit 19 minutes into my set, taking out all synths but the Syntakt simultaneously and putting an end to my set.
Out of all of the things that could have failed, the only thing that would have been worse would have been the Syntakt, as it is my master output.
While I could have played on just the Syntakt and then had someone bypass the mixer and plug the Crave and Edge directly into the Syntaktās inputs, I was both unprepared for this eventuality and lost the momentum of the set.
Now to find a new mixerā¦ The Zed-6ās 12V rail died, and while I could fix it I am not trusting it ever again.
Truth be told, there were other mistakes made during the set as well, I went too intense too early, which boxed me in a little bit, but I was escaping from that sequence when it all died. Oh wellā¦
