Welcome to part forty six in this series of videos in which I take the advice of all of those Christian fundamentalists and read my bible - literally
You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that you can read it.
In this episode Israel sets off for Egypt and of course ends up somewhere completely different where he gets a visit from the Lord who seems to have forgotten that he told Israel to change his name.
The Lord assures him that he will be with him when he goes to Egypt and that he will bring him back home again later.
But there's danger and that danger is the biblical list that was lurking in the middle of the chapter where the original writer mistook our interest in Jacobs's family for a request to have each and every one of them listed and counted.
Of course no list lasts forever and this is the last one of the story and so eventually they arrive in Egypt and Joseph comes to meet them and finally reunites with his father after all these years and promises to tell Pharaoh all about them.
But are Pharaoh and the rest of the Egyptians going to be glad to see them?
