Welcome to part twenty six in this series of videos in which I take the advice of all of those Christian fundamentalists and read my bible - literally

You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that you can read it.

In this episode there is yet another famine and the lord appears unto Isaac and tells him not to go to Egypt, which is just as well because he wanted to go to Gerar to see his Dads old friend Abimelech and make out that Rebekah, his wife, is really his sister.

If this all sounds familiar, that because it it all but a straight retelling of Genesis 20 -- 21 with all the same supporting characters doing all the same things and it even ends with Isaac digging a well, doing a deal with Abimelech and naming the place Beersheba for exactly the same reason that his dad named the place Beersheba nearly eighty years before.

Maybe the Lord ran out of ideas and so decided to remake one of the more popular adventures without the king running off with the main characters one hundred year old wife.

Rehashing and duplicating a whole section from earlier on in the book and hoping that nobody will notice.

Now why does that sound familiar?
