Welcome to part forty five in this series of videos in which I take the advice of all of those Christian fundamentalists and read my bible - literally
You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that you can read it.
In this episode after giving his brothers the run around for several chapters, imprisoning one of them until they go home and bring back his younger brother and then planting his magic cup in his younger brothers luggage and sending his steward to arrest them for its theft and dragging them back to his villa so that they all thought that they were done for, Joseph can no longer take the excitement and so he reveals his identity to his brothers.
Naturally they are a little taken aback by this but to their astonishment he is no longer pissed at them.
This is probably because he has had a great deal of fun sending them on a five hundred mile round trip and then scared the pants off them
He explains that he is the ruler of all Egypt and invites them to stay after they have sent for their father Jacob, or is that Israel.
This news then reaches the Pharaoh who is the actual ruler of all Egypt and he also invites them to stay which is just as well or Joseph might have some explaining to do.
As it is, its Josephs brothers who have the explaining to do when they finally get back home with carts and asses laden with goods with an invite for their father.
An invite to come live in Egypt from his long dead son Joseph.
