You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that we can read it.
In this episode God we meet Adam, eve and the talking snake or at least we assume that it talks
There is a spot of bother in paradise and god aint happy, then again he rarely is, and he decides that Adam and Eve have overstayed their welcome.
Why was god out walking in the cool of the day and is he telling the truth when he says he was just walking his dog.
