Lite Ranger Foam Board RC Airplane
The Lite Ranger is a prototype foam board RC airplane seeking to build a lightweight foam board RC airplane that uses flaperons for roll and low speed flight.
Plans are included for this model:

The Lite Ranger can be build in a day using regular 3/16" foam board, hot glue and 3 mm carbon rods for wing reinforcement. The wing has zero dihedral and a 30" span, with a positive incidence of 3/16". The plane weighs 4.5 ounces, and can use any electric motor for a plane of this weight. I used plastic Saran Wrap for the wing covering and attached with a glue stick.
The video shows a detailed discussion of how to set up flaperons with a Spektrum DX6 transmitter and an AR610 6 channel receiver. The flaperons are a fun addition to the model and should allow for slow fight.
The Lite Ranger flew very well, as you can see in the maiden flight video.
