In this simulation, we study the deposition of liquid metal droplets on a moving substrate with FLOW-3D. Thanks to the two-fluid solution, we can analyze the velocity and temperature in the gas surrounding the metal droplet. The simulation predicts the morphology of the deposited track. For simplicity, the nozzle was not included in the simulation and the liquid metal enters the domain using the droplet source.
