Dr. Gregory Saathoff, a forensic psychiatrist and the final prosecution rebuttal witness, testified about Lindsay Clancy’s mental health as the trial continues in Massachusetts. Clancy is accused of killing her three children in their home in January 2023. Saathoff told the court that Clancy’s Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale scores ranged from 19 to 23 out of 30, with her highest score reaching a level he described as concerning. He also agreed that symptoms of postpartum depression can rapidly progress into postpartum psychosis and testified that severe symptoms require careful assessment and treatment.
