Lilly Sullivan, 6, and Jack Sullivan, 4, were reported missing on May 2, 2025, from their home on Gairloch Road in Lansdowne Station, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. They were reported missing by their mother and stepfather around 10 a.m.. The family home is located in a rural area surrounded by thick woods. Family members last saw Lilly inside the home and heard Jack in the kitchen on the morning of May 2. Their parents stated that after briefly falling back asleep upon hearing the children playing, they woke up to find they were not in the house and immediately called 911.
Following their disappearance, a large-scale search involving multiple agencies and volunteers was initiated. Despite extensive searches of the surrounding wooded areas and bodies of water using various resources, including police dogs, drones, helicopters, and underwater teams, the children have not been found. While police scaled back active search efforts on May 7 due to low probability of survival, the investigation is ongoing, with over 355 tips received and more than 50 individuals interviewed by late May. Newsweek reported on May 28 that the RCMP confirmed Lilly and Jack were seen in public with family members on the afternoon of May 1, the day before they were reported missing. The Government of Nova Scotia is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information of investigative value. As of July 12, 2025, the children remain missing, and the case has drawn significant attention.
