In this video I turned used light bulb into a bud vase. I carefully removed the bottom of the bulb allowing access to the filament. Once inside the bulb I chipped away at the glass filament until it was completely out. Using rice I was able to remove the inside coating of the bulb.

I made the base on the lathe using a Spectraply turning blank. This blank was laminated with alternating shades of pink.

This was definitely one of the weirdest things I ever made. But it is definitely a conversation piece.
