This is the Summerhill Road level crossing at Craigieburn, Victoria. It is located on the northern outskirts of Melbourne, on the North East line. On the eastern side of the crossing crossing is a single standard gauge track which is the ARTC owned Melbourne - Sydney line, while on the western side are two V/Line broad gauge tracks which go to Seymour/Shepparton.
These gated signals were installed on September 13, 1998. Both signals have unmarked bases, Westinghouse EB gate mechanisms, General Signals gate lights, marked Westinghouse LED lights, Safetran type 3 electronic bells and Artcraft healthy state indicators. Both bells sound from start up until the gates rise.
Train information:
1st train: 8311 V/Line Sprinter service from Southern Cross (Melbourne) to Seymour.
2nd train: 8316 V/Line sprinter service from Seymour to Southern Cross.
3rd train: 3SM2 freight from Sydney to Melbourne, with locomotives NR87 and NR1.
4th train: 9341 empty Apex Quarry train to Kilmore East, with locomotive G515.
5th train: 8364 V/Line passenger service from Shepparton to Southern Cross, with locomotive N459.
