In this video I talk about some of the fire extinguishers I have for the shop, for the house/kitchen, and for the cars as well as a few basic usage principals. This is in part a video response to America's Test Kitchen's video, "The Best Fire Extinguishers for a Safe Home Kitchen" combined with some of my own tips, tricks, stories, etc. I also wanted to continue to raise awareness to the Kidde Fire Extinguisher recall as this is something I hadn't heard about before.
When it comes to your own safety, you should take anything I (or anyone else) says on these topics with a grain of salt and do your own research until you're comfortable. I am not a professional. If you have concerns about your level of fire safety preparedness, your best bet is to contact your local Fire Department and inquire with them about equipment and training. They will be delighted to hear from you and happy to help. It's much easier to answer a question or two than it is to respond to a house fire.
