What is a stem cell transplant? In this kid-friendly animated video from UC Davis Children’s Hospital, we explain how a stem cell transplant helps treat cancer and other serious blood disorders. Children will learn how bone marrow works as the body’s “cell-making factory,” what stem cells do, and how new healthy stem cells can replace sick bone marrow to help the body make healthy blood cells again.
