Stalwart may be under the threat of imminent invasion by the Iron Flail, but life continues to go on. With the newfound prosperity of the small fishing village, certain individuals in Defiance Bay are looking at investing in both the settlement and the White Forge. Naturally, this is being done entirely with an eye for future profits and with Defiance Bay being the far bigger player in the negotiations, it's hard for Stalwart to negotiate for a fair deal.

What's where we come in... for some reason.

We may be the hero that liberated Durgan's Battery and protected the mines, but we have little understanding of the local economy, the many perils of the surrounding lands the the myriad of other political concerns that are needed to properly negotiate such investments. That's not stopped the newly elected mayor from appointing us to act on his behalf and so off we go to try and get the best deal we can for Stalwart.
