On the eleventh episode of Let's Play Grounded, our detour to the Pond is over and now we have the Bone Dagger we'll need to cut our way through the pipe that leads to the Haze Lab. On the way over, we also stop by the other pipe we found to grab the Minotaur Key, which will come in handy in the future. After a little bit of a wander, we hop into the main pipe and hack our way through the roots blocking off the Haze Lab. However, the pipe also leads in a couple different directions, and it turns out investigating them without an extra Slime Lantern is a pretty bad idea. Within the lab itself, we learn the source of the Infected bugs, the gas covering the Haze, and why no one seems to have been in the Tully household since our arrival. We also fight a buffed-up Infected Ladybug before snagging another SUPER Chip. Back on the surface of The Haze, we grab ourselves a chunk of gum and use it to plug up the hole in the gas canister. Once the gas is gone, we're free to explore The Haze without a gas mask, and promptly fall into a horrible spider hole.

![First Impressions On: Deep Fear
[Released July 24, 1998]
On this episode of First Impressions, a mysterious space capsule touches down in the Pacific Ocean and is retrieved by the USS Sea Fox. The sub takes it to an underwater research and submarine refueling facility, named the Big Table. However, shortly after docking with the Big Tables Navy Area, contact is lost with the submarine, which crashes into the seafloor nearby. John Mayor of the Emergency Rescue Service is sent over to the Navy Area in a submarine to slide it back over to the Big Table. Inside, we meet a crewman who begs for death, hands John a gun, and proceeds to transform into a man-crab. We gun down a few more of these decapodamorphs while trying not to run out of air, before finding the controls to return to the Big Table. We also meet Dr. Gina Wiseberg and her chimpanzee, who are seemingly the only unmutated survivors in the Navy Area. Shortly after reconnecting to the Big Table, someone aboard the Sea Fox arms its torpedoes. One is launched, and homes in on the howling Air Exchange Unit. Furthermore, the submarines missile compliment is also armed, so John and Mookie have to take the submarine over to the bigger submarine in order to try and disarm them.

![First Impressions On: Stray
[Released July 19, 2022]
On this episode of First Impressions, a stray cat lives with their fellow felines within the interior of a wall encircling an old and crumbling city. However, as the clowder are exploring the overgrown confines of the wall together one day, our stray makes a jump onto a weak pipe that nearly breaks off. Its enough to shake the stray, and we go sliding and tumbling all the way down the inside of the wall to the bottom. Cut off from the other cats and left in a pile of debris, we begin our journey into the walled city to find our way back to the others. The lowest level of the city is an abandoned derelict, but as we explore the dusty streets and clamber across air conditioners and overhangs it become apparent that someone is trying to guide the stray. Along the way, we encounter a swarm of bouncy, cyclopean not-headcrabs that seem to want a cat snack. We give them the slip, and find that our would-be benefactor is a computer that needs some help. We do our feline best, and manage to transfer them into a small drone, which they declare is called B-12. With much of their memory missing, B-12 decides to tag along with the stray to help them out until they can figure out who they are. We ride a few buckets over what seem to be huge nests for the pillowy biters from earlier, and then we meet some of the robotic inhabitants of the city. Theyre quite surprised to see an organic lifeform, and a little wary thanks to the Zerk below.

![First Impressions On: Aliens TC (2017) [Doom TC]
On this episode of First Impressions, I take a look at a touched-up rerelease of the very first total conversion mod ever made, which also happens to be an Aliens-themed Doom mod. Originally released back in 1994, shortly before the release of Doom 2, Aliens TC was a very influential mod in its time. These days, it does seem rather simple compared to some of the recent Aliens based TCs, but its still pretty solid nonetheless. As one of the Colonial Marines sent to Hadleys Hope, weve gotta delve into the dark places of the colony and kill a bunch of Xenomorphs with familiar weapons, as well as a few oddball inclusions.
