Peglin recently recieved an update that adds something pretty significant: a fourth area after the mines where the true final boss awaits.
Getting there, however, is more challenging than just playing a normal run, as you need to have certain relics that unlock access to the fourth area. These relics are acquired after defeating the boss of an area and, unlike all the others you encounter, these have only negative effects. Said effects are usally active all the way through the next area and make your run that much harder.
