Hey!
Here is a song I wrote in the train after a journey in Paris. I heard that a popular artist was seeking for a drummer ("omg! I'm a drummer, and besides, I really like his music! And he seems really artistic and human! I would loove to work for this guy and I would loove to finally put myself out in a project like this!", and he was giving a special gig in Paris before his new album was released. I decided to go there and find a way to talk to him directly, to make him understand that I was really motivated and willing to move anywhere to give all my time to this project as a drummer. The gig was full months ago and I didn't see no other way but wait (that means, waiting very long) till he goes out via any entrance. Fortunately there was this guy who sold me a ticket and I could enter, and after the show, the band came to meet people at the bar room and I could speak with him. Back in the train I wondered: and what if there were no ticket to sell? (I have no idea when they did went out but I guess it was faaar too late)
My travel wasn't very much successful in all cases, sadly, because although he told me he'll check out my "application", he already had a drummer he played with and it was simpler to keep working with.
This song is about feeling helpless as for finding a way to make your dreams true, as a musician, feeling frustrated not to be able to change things and make it happen, even if you want it so bad.
