3 years ago I tried a 5 against 7 polymeter, and as I thought it made a cool original rhythm, I imagined a guitar riff that played it on a loop while I started to jam on it on the drums. As a result, it created this composition called Mental Web. Always the same riff, but atmospheres and harmonies change while I play around the riff in different meters: in 5 (to fit the 5 part of the polymeter), in 7 (to fit the 7 part), in 4/4, in 6/8, in 4/2. The riff sounds different through each meter as they emphasizes different parts of it.
