I wanted this creation to be as far removed from Kate Bush's 1978 classic as I possibly could. There would be little point in attempting a parody of my favourite female artist's fine song. However, just like Kate, I have had a fascination of Emily Bronte's novel Wuthering Heights, from first reading it in my teens.
I have written this in the perspective of Emily's thoughts behind the book, as her love of roaming in the wild , beautiful moors of her beloved Yorkshire fed her imagination and how that rugged, ghostly landscape set the tone for her genius book. The unworldly, unmarried parsons daughter, who could write with such passion has always amazed me.!. Wuthering Heights was published in 1847, and remains a timeless classic... I hope you enjoy my work .

Walk with her over craggy rugged, devil's soil
Where the crying wind meets the weeping rain

And turn her pages of time...
