Grants Pass TV Repair | LED flashlights that drain batteries when turned off. @GrantsPassTVRepair | Uploaded 5 years ago | Updated 11 minutes ago
https://tvrepairinformation.weebly.com/In a previous video I talked about the problem of flashlights that drain your batteries when in the off position, and while it it:s a good thing to be aware of. I should have gone to the trouble of actually measuring the microamp draw on each flashlight before making the video. Shortly after making this video I did so, and when I discovered was that the quantum flashlight only used about 4 microamps in the off position, but the techLite flashlight used 220 microamps, which means you can still count on your batteries being drained down to nothing in less than a years time.
Regardless of the power consumption. It:s always best to remove your batteries from any flashlight regardless.
Here is a link to the 9 volt light I talked about in this video.https://9voltlight.com
Shortly after making this video, I learned there are some class action lawsuits against Duracell over this problem.
Here is a link to an article which talks about this.
