Levi shows a simple technique for quickly and effectively adding a bit of natural looking aging to rope and cord. This is used extensively for adding a bit of texture to newly manufactured items that are to be used as movie props. This particular type of aging is great for medieval, western and fantasy movies where the level of breakdown varies from brand new to extremely abused. One of the benefits of this type of cosmetic aging is that the structural integrity of the leather can be controlled by overworking the outside of the cordage but maintaining it's strength on the inside.
