How to Flame Toast Wood with a torch - This is part of a build where I was creating a bunch of wooden and rawhide backpacks for a film about prehistoric man. The toast helps take the moisture out of the wood and hardens in a bit. It is a traditional way of making spears have a more rigid tip. In this case it was two fold. Using very green wood and making it look old.
