The Opening of the Key is a five-operation inter-disciplinary divinatory procedure rooted in the adept traditions of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Today, given the publicly available records of the procedure, it can be used by tarot practitioners from all backgrounds. Learning the Opening of the Key (OOTK) isn’t about learning the OOTK. It is about deepening your understanding of divination.
This course is an invaluable lecture with supplemental texts on how to process and think through esoteric practices and studies. This course is about how to calibrate your own mental state and vibrational frequency to ready yourself for communion with higher consciousness (or Divinity). The lessons I strive to teach in this course transcend a tarot technique tutorial. I hope to share with you how to be a more powerful metaphysician.

In Part 1 of our tour of Papus, I lectured at you and you may or may not have listened to me summarizing the Tarot of the Bohemians in all its arcane glory.

In Part 2 we’ll walk through a divination approach found in Tarot of the Bohemians (1889). You’ll be separating out the Minors into the four suits, choosing a suit based on the subject matter of the inquiry, casting cards from the suit only, then casting cards from the Majors, all working within a 7-card spread that calls upon the Holy Trinity and the quarternary ROTA.
There is an optional expansion of the basic method where you augment the 7 cards with a 12-card astrological house reading.
