Learning art on your own: As the summer comes to a close, it's a great time to review progress on your art, and it can be tough to get better when you are not receiving a formal art education. So how is the year going for you? Have you achieved your illustration / art goals? And what goals do you want to set to get moving on before the end of the year? "Self-taught" artists and illustrators know it's so important to find great experts to learn from and, this is the hardest part, stay on track and motivated! Let's check in with each other and see if we're on track or need to course correct for the end of the year.
I'll do another progress review video at the end of 2020 to cover the change and activities I complete in fall and winter, so make sure to subscribe to follow along on this journey. Update: That video lives here at this link!

Before we dive in, though, I work on a little portfolio piece, and share the little water color speed paint to welcome the colder season, because... how fun are time lapses? Ohh, I love seeing how something is created from a blank sheet of paper, and how I love the signs of fall showing up outside our door.
COME SAY HI!

About me: I am an illustrator who shares her journey here on YouTube, IG and on my website. I have been on this path since March of 2019, and I learn more every day. I want to share that with you! I LOVE being creative, and learning. I believe in the growth mindset and that though natural talent can make a difference, so can persistence, practice, and enthusiasm.
