Love the look of Herbin Round Glass Dip Pens but unsure how to use them? We’re here to help! Start by gathering low-absorbency paper, water, and ink—which for glass pens, can be any ink other dip pens and fountain pens use. Dip the pen into the ink but be sure to protect the fragile nib by not hitting the bottom. Remove excess ink by gently gliding the nib against the bottle’s edge. Glass pens hold an impressive amount of ink, and you’ll need little to no pressure to transfer ink onto the paper. You’ll always get a consistent line width at any pressure. Just be sure to rotate the pen as you write to ensure the ink is used evenly on all sides. Each glass pen is ready to use and comes with abrasive paper for polishing the nib into perfect smoothness. To clean your pen, simply dip it in water to rinse.
