This song just suits Laurel and Oliver. Their story is always starting and stopping, and never finding closure because they're always going to be part of each other's lives whether its romantically or just as friends, and I think in a lot of ways they are soul mates, and should end up together. They have such a layered and multifaceted dynamic on the show and you can see how much history is shared between them -- both from what we've seen on screen, and off -- and I think, despite whatever discrepancies and conflict they've had in the past, they're each others equal in a lot of ways, and will grow back into one another by the end of the series. Either way, this song just screamed "Lauriver" to me, and I hope -- despite the massive glitch at the end -- fans of this ship enjoy the video. If not, lie to me :P

I have to thank Chris so much for telling me to go back and watch the third series of Doctor Who, because unlike me, Chris practically fell in love with Martha Jones the minute she stepped on scene, and I never really gave her a chance. After going back and watching, the third series turned out to be one of my favourites. Its such a good season! And Martha Jones is actually one of my favourite companions now Im such an idiot for disliking her. It had a lot to do with wanting to see the fourth season because of how much that Christmas Special made me fall in love with Donna Noble, and also the fact that I missed Rose like crazy after she left the show. Series Three is spectacular.
Chris, I wanted to make you a Martha Jones video, and hopefully this one is a little bit of a surprise too. Ive rendered this so many times, but its never come out properly, its really late and so I had to just use this one. The quote at the end stuffs up, but I dont think it disrupts the flow too much - just a bit of a jump. Anyway, I wanted to make this as Martha centric as possible, as I know you dont ship Martha/Doctor, and neither do I, but I guess, when vidding any companion on the show the Doctor is included in more ways than one.
Mumford and Sons is an amazing band, and youve been suggesting two other songs that I just couldnt figure out what to do with yet but I was listening to Awake my Soul and I thought the lyrics really had that Martha tone and I could use them for her. I was going to get into more detail, with the rest of her S4 arc, but I think having it centered more on S3 is symbolic for the fact that you told me to go back and give it a chance, and I did. And I loved it! This season is sooo good. In fact, the first episode of DW I ever saw was Gridlock and I love that episode! On the downside, this season made me want to start Torchwood, a show that I totally can NOT get into.
