"Ships in the Night" was another song that Chris suggested I do, and so I decided to use it to one of his favourite couples from 'Smallville', and also as a part of his birthday video collection. I think I'll only be able to fit in a maximum of two more videos now that school has started up. I don't know how I'll go. I've got something big planned for the video that I'll upload on his actual birthday, but I don't know how many, in total, I'll get up.
I think this song has quite a few lyrics that seem to resemble Chloe and Oliver that helped in the decision to use them for this song.Their argument in "Beast" where Oliver asks Chloe when she became one of the bad guys -- the lyric there instantly made me think of it. I kind of like that scene, even though they're in a pretty heated discussion/argument. When it gets up to the part of them chasing their dreams, I went with the Reporter/Hero sorta thing, which in a way is how they ended up (even though Chloe is still a freakin' hero!). Their parents. The way Chloe would show her real feelings towards Oliver when he wasn't able to see them come out (in the start of their relationship). While I could have gone the whole Lois/Oliver, Jimmy/Chloe route with the 'walking away' line, I felt I could spin that into a positive for Chloe/Oliver showing that Chloe wasn't willing to just let Oliver be gone, and wasn't willing to let him save himself. Her love for him pushed her to extreme limits, and she was willing to sacrifice her sanity to bring Oliver back. Yeah, the whole video was really fun to make, and I really hope Chris likes it, and I hope you Chlollie fans out there enjoy it too!
Chris, you're one of my best friends, and I really hope your birthday thats coming up in a few days is spectacular (spectacular -- spec-spectacular SPIDER-MAN) I should be shot. So tired. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, and I hope to surprise you with a SURPRISE fandom when it comes to your FINAL birthday video! Try to stress less, despite how busy your life is getting lately, and education schmeducation! lmfao, no, no. Education is great. Keep up the awesome work -- it'll all pay off one day! XD

ugh, this is kinda crap, I know! But Chris always tells me how he would have liked to see a Lana/Oliver thing on Smallville. And I mean, I think that could have been something fun to see, I dont know HOW they could have worked that in, but I loved their scene together in Bride and so, you know, why not? Justin Hartley seems to have chemistry with every female on this show (hell, in Prophecy I said: If Oliver wasnt with Chloe, then I would love to see an Oliver/Kara relationship!) But yeah, this is just a small Lana/Oliver thing.
Basically the story is ... Oliver wants to get back together, but Lana doesnt really think its the best idea (says its complicated). But then, you know, Oliver isnt going to give up. They sort of give it a shot, but Lana realises that she cant be with him because hes, you know, Green Arrow, and he saves the world, he protects people, and Lana doesnt think she deserves the love of a superhero (youre green arrow, youre better than this [me]). But, Oliver tells her that shes the best part of his life, and then BAM, they get together officially, get hitched, all of that. Then the its complicated starts to make sense when Lex is back, and strikes Lana across the face. Green Arrow steps in to protect the woman he loves, but in the middle of his brawl with Lex, Lexs gun goes off and he accidentally kills Lana. Then, as Oliver cradles over his wife, Lex puts a gun to Olivers head and kills him. Ends with Lex at the funeral of the woman he loved, and the man he hated more than anything.
So yeah, I hope you enjoy, Chris especially. I know its kinda short, and kinda terribly put together, but I really wanted to try and do a Lana/Oliver video in time for your birthday, and so I hope you can ... look past that? LMFAO. Anyway, I cant wait to finish your final birthday video! I really hope you like that one too! XD")
